Additional Information for Candidates for JEE (Advanced) - 2014

For JEE (Advanced) 2014: If a candidate submits the particulars of his/her qualifying examination for 2013, the top 20 percentile criteria of 2013 will be applicable which was declared by IITs after the declaration of the boards' results of 2013. Similarly, the candidates who are providing their qualifying examination particulars of 2014, the criteria of 20 percentile will be applicable which will be declared after the declaration of the boards' results of 2014.

The candidates who are declared eligible for JEE (Advanced) – 2014 will have to again register later on at the JEE (Advanced) website http://jeeadv.iitkgp.ac.in after the declaration of the JEE (Main)-2014 score. They may note that it is compulsory to appear in both the papers of JEE (Advanced) - 2014 to be eligible for admission to IIT. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR APPEARING IN JEE (Advanced) – 2014

The minimum academic qualification for appearing in JEE (Advanced) - 2014 is that the candidate must have passed in final examination of Class 12th or equivalent qualifying examination (Appendix – 3). Those appearing in these examinations in 2014 can also appear in JEE (Advanced) - 2014 provisionally. All the candidates aspiring to take admission in the undergraduate programmes at IITs and ISM Dhanbad for the year 2014 will have to appear in the JEE (Main)-2014 (Paper 1 (B. E./B. Tech.)). About 150000 top candidates based on the performance of JEE (Main)-2014 (Paper 1 (B. E./B. Tech.)) (including all categories) will be eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced)-2014. Admissions to IITs/ISM Dhanbad will be based only on category-wise All India Rank (AIR) in JEE (Advanced), subject to conditions as defined in JEE (Advanced) – 2014 website. A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in consecutive years irrespective of whether or not he/she passed the Qualifying Examination. Those who have attempted IIT-JEE in 2012 or earlier are NOT ELIGIBLE to appear in JEE (Advanced) - 2014.
